Professional Layouts
![]() | Graham Remodel: This layout was created for a construction/remodeling company. I tried to create a clean, professional design that showcased some of their work without distracting from the important content of the pages. You can see it in action here. |
Personal Layouts
![]() | Seafoam: This design was created purely for fun. My goal was to create something sleek-looking as well as unique. I transposed this layout into a variety of different color schemes, but this is my favorite. |
![]() | Butterfly: This design was created for an old personal blog named "Broken Fall". My goal was to create something dark and elegant, yet also fun and playful. |
![]() | Trumped: I created this layout for a fanlisting of mine. Since the subject was a card game (euchre, to be exact), I used a series of pictures of the gameplay, rather than on an intricate graphic design. I especially like the unique organization of the elements in the layout. |
![]() | Not Alone: I created this layout for a fanlisting of mine. I did not use any spectacular effects for this design. Instead, I experimented with some simple typographical arrangements of lyrics from the song for which I made the fanlisting (Aftermath by Adam Lambert). This design was my first to focus entirely on typography, and I rather like the result. |
![]() | Street Grunge: I created this design for my personal blog called "Broken Fall". I wanted to create a unique, grungy look. I am proud of the fact that I was able to get the brick wall background to repeat seamlessly, even though I initially thought it could not be done. |
![]() | Acoustic: I created this layout for my personal fanlisting collective ("Acoustic"). I wanted to keep the theme of the layout consistent with the domain name, which is why I chose a musical theme. There is a slight problem with the colors not matching on some computers, teaching me a lesson about using transparency or web-safe colors. |
![]() | Heartache: This design was created for my personal blog titled "Rachelisms". I wanted a sad, nostalgic feel, which I think the bleeding ink effect of the text really exemplifies (lyrics from Gunslinger by Avenged Sevenfold). |
![]() | Lacy Hearts: This design was created for an older blog of mine named "Woolisauce". I don't really like how it is all one color (or shades of one color at any rate), but I like the scalloped edges of the main content section, and how it seems to "pop out" from the background. |
![]() | Flowers: I created this design to pass the time on a road trip. My goal was to create a simple, light, pastel layout, reminiscent of springtime. |
